World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
Item upgrade allows players to raise the item level of equippable weapons and armor. This improves the stats of that equipment, and also sometimes adding buffs or rolling an affix again.
It is important to keep in mind that upgrading magic and common gear isn't always worth it. Rare and exclusive equipment will quickly surpass the standard gear and upgraded magic.
Cost
The player must spend gold to upgrade an item. The cost of upgrading an item is based on the current level of the item and type of upgrade. For instance, upgrading a weapon will generally be less expensive than upgrading armor, since weapons require lower levels of skill. The amount of Gold required increases as the item is upgraded to the next level.
A new item will also come with increased stats, which could boost its performance in a variety of ways. This could include boosting its attack power or critical strike chance. Additionally, an upgraded item may be able to give additional buffs to the unit it is equipped with. These upgrades can be used to boost the overall strength of a group or unit, and could be a major influence on the gameplay.
The NPC for upgrading items can be located in the game. In general, these NPCs are located in capital cities or major questing spots. You can also find upgraders of items in dungeons that feature high-level bosses. You can also talk to NPCs in garrisons of your faction.
The World of Warcraft item upgrade system lets players improve the quality of their weapons, armor, and trinkets. The process is similar to the process used for gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor however, instead of using the currency that is appropriate players need to visit an item upgrader NPC to complete the process.
item upgrading can be expensive especially for armor and weapons. Based on the upgrade path you select, each upgrade can cost Crests or Valorstones. The cost can be prohibitive for players who do not have the resources or are unable to grind.
Fortunately, the game allows players to play a reroll of an upgraded item by using an additional tool available in the items menu. This option exchanges the upgraded item for an equivalent version at level 1 which comes with an additional set of bonus effects. This can be useful to improve the roll of items which are already upgraded. However, it could also be a waste.
Requirements

Upgrading is the process of increasing the item level of equippable items, such as armor, weapons and trinkets. This can boost their stats and make them more effective in combat. Players can upgrade their gear by spending the appropriate currency at an NPC that sells upgraders for items. Players should be aware of the fact that certain upgrades require special requirements.
The earliest upgrades only increase the base item's stats by one level, however later upgrades give more substantial boosts. Upgrades from level 3 to 6 will increase the weapon's damage by two levels. A bonus stat will be added to the upgraded item based on the level. The bonus is a combination of a guaranteed substat and a randomly generated stat that can vary from upgrade to upgrade.
A player can roll an upgraded item using a Reroll Token to exchange the upgrade for a new version. The new item comes with a distinct set of bonuses, and a lower level of the item. The rerolled item also has different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to remember that the rerolled item will not have its original level or any wasted resource.
Some upgraded items can only be rerolled if the initial item was a Unique, Rare or Epic. Some exceptional items can also be allowed to be rerolled, but their original stats will be replaced by a flat bonus. Rerolling a Rare or Epic item will result in a Normal version, and doing the same with the Epic version will result in an elite version.
Upgraded items can come with additional adjustments that can boost their performance and improve their stats. These additional modifiers aren't included in the upgrade price. They can be acquired by the questing process, purchasing them from the Trading Post or from other players. They can be earned through doing specific missions within the game.
To upgrade an equipment piece, you need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. Based on the kind of item, you'll require one or more Power Dices (Dice 6 is droppable from monsters 21+ and Giants and Dice 12 is droppable from Bosses). You will also need various quantities of Minerals and Erons.
Time
Items upgrades can be used to increase the stats of your equipment and ship without having to level them. While upgrading isn't cheap, it can be an effective way to boost your performance without having to spend a lot of time in battle. It's crucial to know the cost and benefits of item upgrades before investing your money or effort.
Each upgrade increases the stats of the item's base by in a specific amount, and offers the chance of obtaining an additional substat. The additional substat is randomly assigned, and can vary from a small increase in one stat to a much greater boost in another. Make sure to focus on the stats that work best in the slots first. They will bring greater return for your investment.
You can see the amount of time needed to complete an upgrade if you open your inventory and select an item such as a ship, weapon or other accessory. The upgrade window will display the estimated completion time and the progress. In certain cases, you may be able speed up the process of upgrading by applying a Glyph.
It is also possible to salvage certain or all of the upgrade components from an item by using a high-end salvage kit sold by Black Lion Salvage and Ascended Salvage. This is not applicable to legendary equipment or upgrades that can only be recovered using an Upgrade extractor or by returning the item to the Karma merchant.
Enjoy the Benefits
Upgrades to items reward players with a number of items and currency. Additionally, every upgrade has a chance to give a random stat bonus. The bonus value is different for every upgrade, and is usually higher for items that are rarer. Players can use the Great Vault search to see whether an item can be upgraded before spending tickets. The search can also help determine if the item is of an appropriate tier and whether the player could benefit from an upgrade.
During the upgrade process, an item will slowly grow closer to the next level, but it is not always able to reach its maximum upgrade bar. The process will consume Growthstones and Sollant and Sollant, but there's an opportunity to get an upgraded item in only one cycle of growth. The higher the level an item is upgraded to the higher its boosted stat value and the more items it can upgrade to.
Upgrade components can be inserted into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide an attribute bonus or additional effect when the equipment is in use. Some upgrade components also come with cosmetic effects. Players can purchase upgrade items by crafting, buying from vendors, or at the Trading Post, looting, or obtaining rewards. In addition players can retrieve upgraded items using an Upgrade Extractor or by salvaging them with a salvage kit. Glyphs that are placed on gathering tools can be freely swapped.
A player can turn an item into a different upgradeable item by selecting it and pressing the green button a reroll arrow. This alters the layout of the item window and allow players to choose up to six items to "recycle". The item that is recycled can be exchanged for a level 1 item of the same type. Rerolled items won't retain their level or the amount of resources used to upgrade them.
The maximum upgrade level of an item is determined by the item's tier and its quality. Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to levels up to nine, while common items can only be upgraded to level six. The upgrades to an item are added to the item's base statistics and won't increase after a specific point.
